T.A.L.K. Program

The first T.A.L.K. (Talk About Literature in Kansas) program of the 2021 session will be on September 14th at 7:00 pm. We will be discussing the series “Food for Thought” starting with “Epitaph for a Peach” by David Mas Masumoto with Dennis Etzel leading our discussion. Masumoto details his struggle to survive the rigors of modern-day grocery cold storage and distribution timetables, while addressing the importance of family and learning to work with, rather than against nature. Dennis Etzel Jr. is an instructor of English at Washburn University. He received his M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Kansas. Etzel joined the TALK program in 2012. The T.A.L.K. program is sponsored by Humanities Kansas and hosted by the Friends of the Council Grove Public Library.
